Ramsi’s is the place to go if you’re trying to eat more vegetables, or really if you are just trying to eat good food!  This dish is a stir fry with red peppers, carrots, broccoli, squash and snow peas with whole grain rice and a mild black bean sauce.  It was delicious!

Ramsi’s paella

Ramsi's-paella (medium)

Another great recipe from Ramsi’s Cafe on the World, this Spanish dish contains red peppers, carrots, peas and snow peas as well as brown rice.  I loved the flavor and would highly recommend it to anyone who’s up for trying something new.

The paella can be ordered with or without chicken and shrimp.

Add a side of peppers to your kid’s naked queso burrito from Qdoba :)


I love Qdoba!! And since I eat there at least once a week, I decided to add a side of peppers to my usual meal  to get in a serving of veggies.  I’ve been ordering  a kid’s naked chicken queso burrito instead of the adult one, which ends up being about 500 calories, rather than  955 calories.  The whole meal costs $5.07 and includes milk and a side of chips or beans.  I chop up the red and green peppers with a plastic knife and add them to my meal.  It doesn’t take too long, and it tastes delicious!!
